Your mission:
As Ocean Import & Export Operations Junior Specialist (m/f/d) you will be responsible for managing day-to-day operational tasks, which focus on executing general import and export operations for our customers in Hungary and the region. You will ensure ongoing customer satisfaction through reliable service delivery, while proactively resolving issues and implementing corrective actions to maintain the highest standard of service excellence.
Operations:
• Manage daily transport operations ensuring smooth coordination from order placement to final delivery
• Coordinate and schedule truck transport in alignment with customer requirements to ensure timely and efficient deliveries
• Maintain clear communication with customers and third-party logistics providers (e.g., trucking companies, ocean carriers)
• Communicate effectively with internal departments and other offices and branches within GLOVIS Europe
ERP System Updates & Maintenance:
• Accurately input data into customer´s ERP systems
• Conduct regular status checks and data cleanup to ensure consistency across systems
Accounting:
• Support monthly financial closing and client billing processes guaranteeing timely and accurate completion
• Calculate and verify buying and selling amounts
• Prepare and issue necessary documents and invoices maintaining accuracy and compliance with company policies
Reporting and Data Analysis:
• Prepare regular internal and external delivery reports ensuring timely and accurate communication with stakeholders
• Generate internal reports for monthly closing, supporting financial reconciliation and decision-making processes
• Maintain and update accurate records of logistics operations performance
• Analyze logistics data to identify trends and areas for process optimization contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
Your profile:
• University or College degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Business or a related field
• 2-3 years of experience in the freight forwarding or logistics industry ideally focused on ocean import/export operations
• Excellent planning & organizational skills required for overseeing shipments, schedules, documentation and meeting deadlines
