About the Role
0.8 FTE / Full-time / Contractual

At 8 Senses Therapy, we’re passionate about providing therapy that’s interest-based and family-centred, deeply involving families in their child’s journey towards progress. As a part of our team, you will be working primarily with early intervention and school-age clients, supporting children with diverse needs funded by NDIS, Medicare, or private funding—both in-centre and at schools.

Led by allied health professionals with extensive experience, we’re dedicated to your personal growth and our team’s success. You’ll be collaborating closely with other Speech Pathologists and Occupational Therapists in an environment driven by our core values: compassion, positivity, respect, accountability, and working in harmony for excellence.

What You'll Love About Working Here
Career progression with generous professional development opportunities and allowance.
Strong administrative support, enabling you to focus purely on your clinical role.
Attractive remuneration with annual increments.
A collaborative work culture with peer support and manageable caseloads.
All the assessment tools, resources, and therapy games you’ll need are provided.
Flexibility with options for Full-time, Part-time (0.8 FTE), or Contractual arrangements.
Role Requirements
Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy.
A current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner’s Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Current Working with Children Check (WWCC) and RRHAN-EC.
Current First Aid certification.
Valid Australian driver’s licence.
What Your Typical Day Will Look Like
Providing 1-to-1 therapy to clients in our centre and in schools, guided by collaborative, family-centred goals.
Designing, conducting, and reviewing individual therapy sessions, clearly communicating intervention plans and outcomes with families, and adjusting plans to keep children engaged.
Collaborating closely with each child’s care team (carers, educators, and other professionals) to ensure skills generalisation and monitor progress.
Maintaining a professional, friendly approach in interactions with team members and stakeholders.
Documenting clinical notes and client progress
About You
A passion for the family-centred model and enthusiasm for educating caregivers about therapy interventions and strategies.
Creativity and a love for engaging young children in meaningful therapy sessions.
A positive team-player who’s equally confident working independently and respects workplace harmony.

If you’re passionate about making a difference in children’s lives within a supportive and positive environment, we’d love to hear from you!

Keri Tsintziniotis
Occupational Therapist

Keri is a recently qualified Occupational Therapist, graduating from Flinders University with a Master of Occupational Therapy, a Bachelor of Health Sciences, and a Graduate Certificate in Disability Studies. Her passion for working in paediatrics began during her university placements and her experience as a mentor/therapy assistant for individuals living with a disability. She strongly believes in the power of early intervention, living by the philosophy: “Medicine adds days to life, while occupational therapy adds life to days.” Keri brings a fresh and fun-loving approach to therapy, creating meaningful and engaging sessions for children and their families to work towards their goals.

A Little About Keri...

What are my favourite hobbies?

Outside of work, I love being a mum to my toy poodles, Murphy and Frankie. Their wagging tails brighten my day, and our walks to the park and café keep us happy, fit, and energised.

What inspired me to become an OT?

I’ve always loved working with children, a passion sparked as the eldest sibling and role model for my younger brother and cousins. As a paediatric occupational therapist, I’m grateful to support children of all ages daily, helping them achieve their goals while being a positive influence in their lives.

What’s something I’ve learnt from working with kids?
Children don’t automatically think the worst when presented with a new situation. Children are care-free, and they tend to have a positive attitude/outlook towards any situation. Daily, I am reminded to think positive and be excited about what you can offer to the world.

What’s my favourite game?
Musical statues as I love music and dancing, and it incorporates both aspects while having fun and moving your body.
