Occupational Therapist (OT) – Acute Care & Inpatient Rehab
Gainesville, FL
Employment Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Days (Rotating Weekends | Typically 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM, staggered)
Pay Range: $32.52 – $44.72/hour (based on experience)
Sign-On Bonus: Up to $20,000
Relocation Assistance: Available (case-by-case)
Overview
A new acute care hospital opening in 2026 in Gainesville, FL is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) to join its rehabilitation team.
This is an opportunity to be part of a new facility launch, working across acute care and a dedicated inpatient rehab unit to help patients regain independence, function, and quality of life.

Responsibilities
• Evaluate patient functional abilities and develop individualized treatment plans
• Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy interventions
• Monitor progress and adjust care plans as needed
• Document patient outcomes accurately and efficiently
• Educate patients and families on adaptive techniques and recovery strategies
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
• Support safe patient transitions across care settings
• Mentor therapy assistants or students as needed
Required:
• Licensed Occupational Therapist (or eligible) in Florida
• BLS within 30 days of hire
Preferred:
• 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience (acute care or inpatient rehab)
