Required Skills
Job Description
Many roles tell you what your caseload will be.
This one asks what you actually want it to look like.
This privately owned Canberra clinic has built its model around flexibility—not just in hours, but in how clinicians practise. Whether you prefer paediatrics, adults, or a genuine mix of both, your caseload is shaped around your strengths and interests from the outset.
What you’re stepping into
A steady flow of referrals across both paediatric and adult clients, allowing you to build a caseload that feels right for you. Some therapists here work almost entirely with children, others focus on adults, and a few enjoy the variety of both.
There’s no pressure to “fit into a gap”—the clinic hires with intention and builds the role around the clinician.
How the role works day-to-day
• A mix of clinic-based sessions and optional community visits
• Flexibility to structure your week in a way that suits your workflow
• Time allocated for notes, planning and collaboration
• Admin support that actually takes things off your plate
About the practice
This is a well-established private practice with a strong local reputation and consistent referrals. The team is experienced, supportive and refreshingly low on hierarchy. People are trusted to do their job well—without micromanagement or unnecessary KPIs.
There’s a clear focus on sustainability: manageable caseloads, realistic expectations and long-term retention.
What’s on offer
• Competitive salary with a transparent incentive structure
• Flexible full-time or part-time arrangements
• Dedicated admin support
• Professional development allowance + ongoing mentoring
• Clear pathway to grow your clinical focus over time
• Stable, well-run practice with strong demand
About you
• AHPRA registered Occupational Therapist (or eligible)
• Open to working with either paediatric or adult clients (or both)
• Comfortable managing your own caseload with support when needed
• Approachable, adaptable and client-focused
Why Canberra?
Canberra offers a balance that’s hard to find—career opportunities, a strong healthcare network and a lifestyle that’s structured without being overwhelming. Short commutes, access to nature and a well-planned city make day-to-day life easy to manage.
If you’re looking for a role that gives you genuine choice in how you practise—and the support to do it well—this is one worth considering.
