Obstetrician-Gynecologist (OB-GYN) (MD/DO)
Position Summary
The Obstetrician-Gynecologist provides comprehensive medical and surgical care to women across the lifespan. This role includes obstetric care, gynecologic care, preventive health services, and surgical management of reproductive health conditions, with a focus on evidence-based, patient-centered care.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive obstetric care, including prenatal care, labor and delivery management, and postpartum follow-up
• Diagnose and manage high-risk and low-risk pregnancies, as applicable
• Provide gynecologic care including well-woman exams, contraception counseling, and management of menstrual and menopausal disorders
• Diagnose and treat gynecologic conditions such as fibroids, endometriosis, pelvic pain, and abnormal uterine bleeding
• Perform gynecologic and obstetric surgical procedures consistent with training and privileges, including minimally invasive techniques
• Perform cervical cancer screening, colposcopy, and other office-based procedures
• Collaborate with maternal-fetal medicine, primary care, pediatrics, surgery, and other specialists
• Educate patients regarding reproductive health, pregnancy, and preventive care
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and clinical outcomes initiatives
• Supervise and collaborate with residents, advanced practice providers, and clinical staff as applicable
• Comply with all regulatory, accreditation, and professional standards
Qualifications
• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical school
• Completion of an accredited Obstetrics and Gynecology residency program
• Board-eligible or board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology
• Ability to obtain and maintain unrestricted state medical licensure
• DEA registration or eligibility

Work Environment
• Outpatient clinics, hospital labor and delivery units, operating rooms, and inpatient wards
• Call coverage including nights, weekends, and holidays as determined by practice needs
Physical Requirements
• Ability to stand for extended periods during procedures and deliveries
• Manual dexterity for surgical and office-based procedures
• Visual and auditory acuity sufficient for patient care and operative environments
