OBIEE Designer / Developer

Management Consultancy

An experienced Data Warehouse OBIEE designer/developer is required (having completed BI DW lifecycle at least once from start to finish) to focus on the development of reporting capabilities using OBIEE Answers (ad hoc reporting tool), Dashboard, Delivers and Publisher tools.

This is a reporting designer and developer role, supported by a business analyst and technical analyst, and will involve some customer facing activities in developing and demonstrating standard and bespoke reporting via the above tools.

The BI DW will contain data from the Siebel based Public Case Management solution and BaNCS Payments and Banking solution as a minimum. It is likely that the BI DW will be extended to include data from other applications including Document Management (Documentum), Finance GL and integrated Telephony.

The DW platform is Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise (OBIE) toolset.

Platform is Unix (AIX 6.1)

Informatica will be used for data profiling, quality management and ETL support.

Key Responsibilities & Functions:

To act as the primary report designer/developer for the DW BI reporting solution.

To design and develop the most appropriate reporting solution utilising the OBIEE reporting capabilities to meet the reporting requirements.

Design of the OBIEE Repository

To undertake some OBIEE Admin responsibilities

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Required

Good knowledge and experience of data warehousing and business intelligence solutions and associated architecture.

Proven experience as a DW BI report developer on at least one delivered BI project.

Must have a good working knowledge of OBIEE reporting toolset including Answer (ad hoc reporting tool), Dashboard, Delivers and Publisher tools.

Nice to have

Informatica skills would be advantageous

OBIEE Test experience

Knowledge of Siebel Public Case Management and BaNCS functionality and data structures .
