O&R Coatings & Oven Operator

Overview:

STS Aerospace Technology, an Aerospace tubing manufacturer located in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire is seeking an experienced O&R Coatings/Oven Operator to join our team. We fabricate precision welded and brazed tube assemblies for some of the largest aerospace companies in the world including Northrop Grumman, United Technologies, Rolls Royce and Lockheed Martin.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Follows operating procedures to run products through furnace cycles.
• Positions and aligns parts in fixture, or other holding devices.
• Loads and unloads furnace, establish correct settings, makes necessary adjustments to insure proper furnace operation.
• Follows all required safety and OSHA rules and regulation including the use of PPE.
• Performs visual inspection of parts and assemblies.
• Consistently, regularly and dependably at work and on time.
• Other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate should possess the following:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Basic mathematical aptitude.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Proficient using computers.
• Must be able to use overhead crane to perform time sequential transfers of baskets to and from specific process solutions.
• Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
• Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
