You will be joining us in the green energy world where we are building a resilient future. You will by playing an important role by maintaining the durability and longevity of the wind turbine foundations and subsea cable assets, which consist today of approximately 200 foundations and 250 km submarine high voltage cables.
In this role you will:
Together with the other Civil Asset Management Engineers and the Civil Site Supervisors you are responsible for a qualitative follow-up of all the wind farms, where you will have ownership of certain key assets and key techniques:
• Offshore planning, coordination and execution the offshore maintenance (preventive, corrective and adaptive) campaigns.
• Perform preparatory logistics (crew, materials, parts, vessel, …) in collaboration with the Asset Management Engineer.
• Duly represent the wind farm owner towards subcontractors – you will be the prime contact in the field and act as Employer’s ‘eyes and ears’.
• Supervise subcontractors including the necessary follow-up which covers a.o. review of method statements and risk assessments, reporting, investigations and troubleshooting of ad hoc issues;
• Develop constructive and long-term relationships with civil subcontractors.
· Properly document (measurements, pictures, DPRs, …) in a structured way the offshore maintenance campaigns performed.
· Provide input from offshore maintenance campaigns for internal reporting.
· Report and follow-up on safety and quality aspects during the offshore works.
• Advise technical solutions and procedural improvements towards your colleagues and creating links with the QHSSE, Electrical and Turbine O&M departments.
Flexibility (in both ways) will be a part of your function, as your main working location will be a mix between offshore and our Ostend office (such as during weather days). Importantly, you will occasionally travel in Belgium and abroad (mainly Germany – cfr. our newly being developed wind farm Arcadis Ost 1 in the Baltic Sea). Next to that JERA Nex bp have adopted a structural teleworking regime in which a high autonomy is offered as well as required. You will report to the O&M Civil Manager.
