Job Description

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nutritionist Counselor to join our team in an in-person capacity. This role is integral to supporting individuals with eating disorders and related mental health conditions through evidence-based nutritional counseling, collaborative care planning, and therapeutic support.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide individualized nutrition counseling for clients across levels of care (e.g., PHP, IOP, outpatient)

Develop and implement meal plans aligned with clinical treatment goals and medical needs

Collaborate closely with therapists, medical providers, and psychiatric staff to ensure coordinated care

Facilitate nutrition focused psychoeducation groups

Monitor client progress, including weight trends, food behaviors, and adherence to meal plans

Document all services in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards

Participate in case reviews, treatment plan meetings, and team consultations

Support clients in developing normalized eating patters and improving their relationship with food

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field

Registered Dietician (RD/RDN) preferred (or eligibility)

Experience working with eating disorders strongly preferred

Knowledge of evidence-based approaches (e.g., HAES, intuitive eating, CBT E-informed nutrition care)

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team

Commitment to trauma-informed and client-centered care
