We’re looking for a detail-oriented, data-driven professional to join our Western Canada team as a Nutrition Formulator.
This role is less about creating new formulas and more about ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and readiness of formulation data that drives our production systems. You’ll play a critical role as the final checkpoint before products go into production, helping ensure consistency, quality, and compliance across our operations.

Working with us:
This position provides support to Western Canada and the U.S., including Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, British Columbia and Montana. The typical work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; however, some flexibility to work outside of these typical hours to support multiple time zones may be required. This position has the ability to be home-based or office-based, depending on the candidate’s location. Travel will be required to both production facilities in Langley, BC and Morden, MB, a few times per year.
This role can be based in any of the Western provinces (Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, or British Columbia); however, preference will be given to candidates located in Manitoba
What you'll do:
Formulation Data & Validation
Maintain, update, and validate feed formulations within formulation software (e.g., Bestmix, NDS)
Ensure all inputs, specifications, and ingredient data are accurate and up to date
Act as a final quality checkpoint before formulas are released to production
Input and manage lab assay results to reflect accurate ingredient specifications
Support internal teams by responding to formulation-related questions and requests
Data & Systems Management
Own the integrity and accuracy of formulation databases
Ensure alignment across systems, including formulation, QC, and operational data
Identify opportunities to improve processes, workflows, and system usage
Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, QC, and purchasing teams
Quality Control & Compliance
Support FeedAssure, HACCP, and regulatory compliance requirements
Maintain accurate product tags and documentation
Coordinate sampling programs and ensure proper tracking of results
Identify and escalate discrepancies or quality concerns
Your background includes:
We’re looking for someone who thrives in a data-heavy, detail-focused environment
and enjoys working behind the scenes to ensure everything runs smoothly.
Post-secondary education in Agriculture, Animal Science, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred
2+ years of experience in agriculture, feed, manufacturing, or a similar environment
Experience working with formulation software or database-driven systems (Bestmix, NDS, ERP, or similar)
Strong attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy and validation
Proven ability to manage and maintain data across systems
Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams
Nice to have:
Background in agriculture, animal nutrition, or a related field
Exposure to QA/QC programs (FeedAssure, HACCP)
Understanding of monogastric and/or ruminant nutrition
