We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner to provide patient-centered medical care in an outpatient healthcare setting in Monroe, North Carolina. This role focuses on delivering comprehensive primary care services, managing both acute and chronic conditions, and supporting preventive health initiatives.
The Nurse Practitioner will work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and administrative staff to ensure efficient patient care and maintain high standards of clinical quality and documentation.
Responsibilities
• Conduct patient assessments including medical histories, physical examinations, and health evaluations
• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions within scope of practice
• Develop and manage individualized treatment plans for patients
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests including lab work and imaging
• Prescribe medications and monitor patient response to treatment
• Provide patient education related to disease prevention, treatment options, and lifestyle management
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical record (EMR) systems
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare staff to coordinate patient care
• Ensure compliance with clinical protocols, regulatory standards, and safety guidelines
Requirements:
• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program
• Current Nurse Practitioner license in North Carolina or eligibility to obtain licensure
• Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner (FNP, ANP, or related specialty)
• Active DEA license or ability to obtain one
• Experience providing primary care or outpatient clinical services preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare teams
• Proficiency using electronic medical record (EMR) systems
Preferred Experience
• Experience working in outpatient or primary care clinics
• Familiarity with preventive care and chronic disease management
• Experience working with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Background in patient education and population health initiatives
