Position Summary: Join a fast-growing, physician-led urgent care clinic dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. We are seeking a motivated and collaborative Advanced Practice Clinician (APC) who is passionate about enhancing the patient experience and contributing to a supportive clinical team. You’ll play a key role in providing efficient, compassionate care while working alongside a team committed to clinical excellence and continuous improvement.
Essential Job Functions: - Provide medical care and treatment to patients under established clinical guidelines and physician supervision. - Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care to individuals across a wide range of age groups. - Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute illnesses and injuries, including prescribing medications as appropriate. - Accurately document patient encounters in the EMR and ensure proper coding and billing practices. - Perform approved diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. - Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests and laboratory results to assess patient conditions and healthcare needs. - Develop and implement effective treatment plans for illness management. - Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive, coordinated patient care. - Prescribe appropriate treatments, interventions, and medications in accordance with clinical protocols. - Contribute to a high standard of patient care and an excellent overall patient experience. - Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications: - Current licensure as a Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) in the State of Utah. - Active DEA registration and Utah Controlled Substance License. - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS or specialty certification preferred based on departmental needs. - Strong work ethic with a high level of motivation and professionalism. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment. - Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients, colleagues, and leadership. - Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team setting. - Sound judgment, discretion, and decision-making skills with a high degree of initiative. - Advanced interpersonal and communication skills to navigate complex situations and represent the clinic in a professional manner.
Hours: - Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekdays, evenings, weekends, and some holidays. - Clinic hours are 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM, Sunday through Saturday. - Shifts may vary and include 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM or 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM.
