Cooperidge Consulting Firm is seeking a Nurse Manager of Surgical Services for a top healthcare client in Arlington, TX.
This role oversees day-to-day operations within the Operating Room, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered surgical care. The Nurse Manager will lead a skilled perioperative team, manage staffing and budgets, support ongoing staff education, and collaborate with hospital leadership to meet departmental goals and enhance operational performance.
Job Responsibilities
• Direct and coordinate all clinical and administrative functions of the Operating Room.
• Develop and implement policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives that promote safe, efficient surgical care.
• Collaborate with the OR Educator to ensure comprehensive staff orientation and ongoing professional development.
• Oversee staffing, scheduling, and performance management to maintain optimal department coverage and morale.
• Serve as liaison between nursing staff, surgeons, anesthesia providers, and hospital administration.
• Monitor department budget, supply usage, and capital expenditures to ensure fiscal responsibility.
• Participate in strategic planning, management meetings, and departmental growth initiatives.
• Foster a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement in patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Requirements:
Education
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required
Experience
• Minimum of 5 years of RN-level Operating Room experience
• Minimum of 2 years of acute care OR leadership experience required
Certifications/Licenses
• Active Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact State license required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA or Red Cross required
• CNOR certification preferred

• Strong leadership and communication abilities
• Deep understanding of surgical nursing practice and standards
• Excellent organizational and budgeting skills
• Ability to mentor and develop high-performing clinical teams
