We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Nurse Manager – NICU RN to lead our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) during the night shift. This is a full-time leadership role working 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM, with weekend and on-call rotation required.
As Nurse Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in clinical operations, team support, and quality initiatives for one of Houston’s leading NICUs. This is an ideal opportunity for a nurse leader who thrives in high-acuity neonatal environments and wants to make a lasting impact on critically ill newborns and their families.
Key Responsibilities
• Partner with the NICU Director to manage daily operations and lead unit initiatives
• Supervise and mentor NICU staff, fostering accountability and clinical excellence
• Support performance improvement (PI) efforts and safety goals
• Deliver hands-on clinical support and evaluate patient care outcomes
• Oversee care planning, discharge coordination, and family-centered care practices
• Ensure ongoing compliance with hospital, regulatory, and safety standards
• BSN required
• Active RN license in Texas or Compact RN license with Texas endorsement (within 60 days of hire)
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• 2+ years of recent NICU leadership experience (at charge nurse, supervisor, or manager level)
• Strong understanding of neonatal nursing standards, compliance protocols, and quality metrics
