Compensation:
• Annual Salary Range: $84,849 – $127,274 (based on experience)
• Sign-On Bonus: Available (case-by-case)

Overview
A large tertiary acute care hospital in Dallas, Texas is seeking an experienced Nurse Manager of Critical Care (Medical ICU) to provide clinical, operational, and strategic leadership for a high-acuity adult Medical Intensive Care Unit.
This role is responsible for ensuring exceptional patient outcomes, regulatory compliance, staff engagement, and operational excellence within a complex critical care environment.
Responsibilities
• Provide 24/7 leadership and accountability for the Medical ICU
• Plan, organize, direct, and evaluate nursing care delivery in alignment with critical care standards and organizational goals
• Collaborate with physician leaders and interdisciplinary teams to enhance quality, safety, and efficiency of care
• Develop and implement policies, procedures, and performance improvement initiatives within the ICU
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and patient safety requirements
• Lead staffing, scheduling, productivity management, and staff development
• Foster a collaborative, high-performance team culture focused on quality outcomes and patient-centered care
• Utilize quality metrics, occurrence reporting, and data-driven insights to improve clinical and operational performance
• Maintain effective communication with leadership, staff, and clinical partners
Required:
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care leadership experience in Critical Care
• Preferably 2+ years of ICU leadership experience
• Charge Nurse–only experience will not be considered
• BSN required
• Active Texas RN license or compact RN license
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
Preferred:
• MSN or higher degree
• CCRN and/or CNRN certification
• Prior experience in high-acuity or tertiary care ICU settings
Scope of Responsibility
• 16-bed Medical ICU
• Leadership of approximately 45 FTEs
• Oversight limited to the Medical ICU
• Reports directly to the Director of Critical Care
