This position performs exterior pest control treatments and turf chemical applications for residential properties.

Position Summary
This role performs exterior pesticide and lawn treatment applications on residential properties. Services include mosquito treatments, exterior perimeter pest control, and turf applications such as fertilizer and weed control.
This role does not perform interior pest control, termite work, or landscaping services.
Technicians operate independently in the field and must maintain strong safety, documentation, and customer communication standards.
Required License
Applicants must hold an active North Carolina Commercial Pesticide Applicator License issued by the North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. Relevant license categories include:
Ornamental & Turf (L)
Public Health (M)
Household Pests (P)
Applicants holding all categories are preferred (or those who are willing and able to become licensed in the additional categories)

Core Responsibilities
Service Execution
Perform mosquito treatments and exterior perimeter pest control applications
Apply turf treatments including fertilizer, herbicide, and pest control products
Follow pesticide label requirements and safety procedures
Document service visits using company software with photos and notes
Equipment & Operations
Maintain clean and organized service vehicles
Conduct routine equipment inspections and troubleshooting
Maintain proper chemical handling and storage practices
Customer Interaction
Communicate professionally with homeowners when necessary
Provide clear explanations of services performed when requested
Represent Unison professionally in residential communities
Compliance & Safety
Follow all pesticide label instructions and regulatory requirements
Maintain accurate service and application records
Follow company safety policies and procedures
Requirements
Active North Carolina Commercial Pesticide Applicator License:
Ornamental & Turf (L)
Household Pests (P)
Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
Ability to work outdoors in typical weather conditions
Ability to lift and maneuver equipment up to 75 lbs
Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment
Ability to follow written and verbal safety instructions in English
Professional communication and reliability
Preferred Experience
