• Safe Freight Handling: You could be required to execute the loading and offloading of trailers using forklifts and electric pallet jacks. You are responsible for ensuring proper weight distribution (axle weights) and load securement to prevent shifting or damage during transit.

• MHE Safety: Maintain 100% compliance with warehouse safety protocols, including the use of PPE, pedestrian awareness on the dock, and safe operation of Material Handling Equipment (MHE).

• Hours of Service (HOS) Management: Diligently manage Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) to ensure full compliance with MTO regulations, prioritizing fatigue management and rest cycles for the Tuesday–Saturday night rotation.

• Terminal Navigation: Safely maneuver equipment within the Manitoulin Transport network and back trailers into assigned doors.

Working Conditions

• Environment: Primarily outdoor highway driving and active terminal dock environments.

• Schedule: Fixed Tuesday through Saturday night rotation, requiring a disciplined approach to sleep hygiene and alertness.

• Safety Training: Previous certification in Forklift Operation and Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) is highly preferred but not necessary as in house training will be provided.
