Job Description

Nomex® Business Development Manager – Nomex® Energy Solutions business.

Location: Remote - North America - US Based

The Nomex® Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for developing and managing new business opportunities with both existing and new customers in our Energy Solutions business in North America.  Focus will be on downstream business development at OEM and key End-Users, primarily within the Electric Vehicle, Industrial Motor, Generator and Transformer markets.

The BDM will report directly to the North America Sales Manager and work in a highly collaborative business team comprising of dedicated leadership, sales, marketing, technical and product management all focused on the Energy Solutions market.

Responsibilities

Identify, develop and manage a robust pipeline of business opportunities within existing and prospective accounts, deepening relationships to uncover new revenue in target growth verticals for the Energy Solutions business with focus in the Electric Vehicle, Industrial Motor, Generator and Transformer markets.

Manage existing business relationships with strategic OEMs, including Global Key Account Management, with goal of developing new business opportunities.

Coordinate all internal multi-functional customer-facing team activities.

Focus will be on downstream business development to achieve revenue, profit and growth targets.

Work collaboratively with a dedicated team of Marketing, Technical, and Sales to drive execution of innovation programs by assessing customer needs, introducing new or existing products and positioning Nomex®as the preferred solution to support customers’ growth objectives.

Participate in industry associations and events to promote and represent Nomex®.

Shares business, competitive and industry intelligence with internal organization to promote increased revenue and value

In this role, the BDM will spend approximately 50% of their time focusing on new business development to build sales and engagement, and approximately 50% supporting account management and business development for existing customers.

Manage new leads for the Energy Solutions business.

Provide business analytical support for the business with focus to expand upon the current market data.

 

Qualifications/Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Business or similar

2+ years of experience in Sales, Business Development, Marketing or relevant industry experience in either Electric Vehicle, Industrial Motor & Generator and Transformer markets.

Strong ability to identify, develop new business opportunities and drive to close.

Excellent presentation, communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills; ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams

Approximately 50% travel (role can be home-office based with travel from home location to client locations)

 

Preferences

Relevant experience in Electric Vehicle, Industrial Motor & Generator and Transformer markets is a plus.

Longer period in sales with focus on business development

Experience working at the downstream OEM/end user level as well as with value chain.
