PURPOSE OF YOUR ROLE

As a Night Manager, you are a key part of the guest experience. By consistently delivering high standards, you promote a welcoming, professional, and safe environment — contributing to the hotel’s success and reflecting our values every step of the way.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Guest & Team Care

Ensure a safe, clean, and secure environment for guests, colleagues, and visitors at all times.

Create a warm, approachable presence for late-arriving guests or those needing assistance overnight.

Handle guest and telephone enquiries professionally and promptly.

Deliver wake-up calls and in-room refreshments with genuine care and attention.

Doing the Right Thing

Conduct regular security checks across the hotel.

Follow all safety and chemical handling procedures carefully.

Ensure all fire exits and corridors remain clear and compliant.

Turn off unnecessary lighting, heating, and equipment to support energy conservation.

Secure keys and report any lost property or maintenance issues responsibly.

Observe all cash handling and hotel procedures with accuracy and integrity.

Always Getting Better

Engage in all scheduled training, including daily “15-minute standards” sessions.

Take part in job chats, appraisals, and ongoing performance development.

Support and uphold departmental and hotel-wide standards — always looking for ways to improve the guest experience.

Be familiar with all hotel offerings and promote them whenever possible.

Energy and Drive in Action

Complete nightly cleaning of public areas, meeting spaces, restrooms, staff areas, and F&B outlets.

Assist in the restaurant, bar, or lounge when needed.

Support meeting room setup, refreshment service, and resetting rooms with attention to detail and pride in presentation.

Be proactive in responding to requests from other departments and guests.

Team Collaboration

Build positive working relationships with colleagues and managers.

Support inter-departmental tasks and assist wherever the business demands.

Attend hotel and departmental meetings, and contribute with enthusiasm and reliability.
