Salary: $16-20 per hour, 25 hours per week
Job Summary:
This position supports the mission and vision of Mountain Springs Church (MSC) by supporting the ministries of Next Gen in the areas of Echo (MS) and Elevate (HS). The ideal candidate will be detail-focused, yet creative and enjoy working within an entrepreneurial team environment that is mission-driven, people-oriented, and fast-paced. The ideal individual will have the ability to exercise clear judgment in a variety of situations, with strong written and verbal communication, administrative, and organizational skills, and the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities. The Next Gen Administrative Assistant will have the ability to work independently on projects from conception to completion and must be able to work under pressure to handle a wide variety of activities.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage all forms of correspondence including voicemail, e-mail, and regular mail for Next Gen Ministries.
Provide administrative assistance to Youth Pastor and supporting staff including calendar management and weekly 1:1 meetings
Manage all Pushpay ChMS functions including weekly communications, Echo and Elevate guest cards, and all forms and event requests
Recruit and manage Echo and Elevate Leaders across all communications platforms
Coordinate all aspects of Next Gen seasonal events including but not limited to booking facility and transportation, creating and managing registration forms and waivers, communications, creating schedules, assigning cabins, printing materials, purchasing supplies, and managing student payments and invoices
Plan and lead Elevate seasonal events including holidays and parent nights
Collaborate with Next Gen team weekly
Work alongside other Next Gen teams to ensure consistent communication to the broader MSC staff.
Strategize & plan with Student Pastor and MSC leadership for future campus expansion
Submit check requests and invoices for all Elevate and Echo expenses
Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
HS diploma or equivalent
Prior administrative assistant experience
Skills and Abilities
Developed and honed communication skills and interpersonal awareness
Ability to multi-task, prioritize decisions and make healthy decisions under stress
Sensitive and skilled in dealing with differing behaviors, feelings and values
Appropriate awareness of privacy of sensitive and confidential information
Enjoy working collaboratively with a staff team
A demonstrated interest in new technologies and approaches
Strong competence on Apple computers
Recognizes own limits and embraces the expertise of other staff
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
Adequate transportation to complete job responsibilities in a timely manner
