Position: QA Engineer 

Location: Asuncion, PY

Duration: Full time

About the role:

We are looking for a Quality Engineer with a strong focus on manual testing to join one of our cross-functional teams. In this role, you will contribute to delivering high-quality web applications by ensuring functionality, usability, and data integrity across the product.

You will work closely with developers, product owners, and designers in an Agile (Scrum) environment, participating in iterative development cycles and supporting continuous delivery of reliable software. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, collaborative, and passionate about improving user experience through quality.

Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive manual testing of web applications, with a focus on front-end functionality and user experience
• Design, execute, and maintain test in adherence to set test strategies
• Conduct API testing to validate system integrations and backend functionality
• Perform database validation to ensure data accuracy and integrity
• Support and execute regression testing to maintain product stability across releases
• Collaborate with cross-functional team members in a Scrum environment
• Identify, document, and track defects, ensuring timely resolution
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and testing practices

Must-have requirements:

• 3–4 years of experience in Quality Engineering / Manual Testing
• Experience testing web applications, including front-end validation
• Hands-on experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, Swagger)
• Basic knowledge of database queries (e.g., SQL) for data validation
• Understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies (Scrum)
• Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
• Excellent spoken and written English

Bonus points for:

• Experience with test management tools in the Azure Devops ecosystem
• ISTQB Foundational Level certification
• Experience working in distributed or international teams
• Knowledge of CI/CD processes
