Organizational Status
We are currently looking forward to welcoming a Part Time Network System Solutions Instructor. You will be part of our fantastic team and report directly to the Director of Academics and Head of Tech. You’ll be joining a team of experienced and passionate individuals who believe in higher education and work diligently behind the scenes to help students thrive in Canada. Your role will involve assisting students in understanding the nature, scope, requirements, and purpose of the course.
Job responsibilities:
Design and facilitate a professional teaching–learning environment for the NSSS Program, focused on agreed-upon learning outcomes.
Develop and deliver learning experiences using pre-authorized or CICCC-approved course resources, with discretion over instructional approach.
Select and apply appropriate teaching and learning methodologies to meet defined course objectives.
Ensure instructional services align with applicable PTIB standards and CICCC academic policies relevant to the contracted services.
Independently plan lessons, learning activities, assessments, and evaluation methods, and communicate course objectives and expectations to students.
Facilitate academic discussions and learning activities that promote critical thinking, analysis, and student engagement.
Provide academic guidance and feedback to students related to course content and performance.
Offer reasonable academic support to students through mutually agreed communication methods and availability schedules.
Prepare and submit required student performance data, grades, and progress reports to the Program Manager in accordance with agreed timelines.
Maintain professional knowledge and subject-matter expertise through independent research and continuing professional development.
Deliver course content using a variety of instructional formats, such as lectures, presentations, discussions, case studies, workshops, and independent or group projects, as appropriate.
Develop instructional materials, including digital, audio-visual, or web-based content, as needed to support course objectives.
Design, administer, and evaluate assessments to measure student progress and learning outcomes.
Ensure proper use of classroom resources, instructional tools, and materials provided for course delivery.
Comply with CICCC policies related to confidentiality, academic integrity, and professional conduct applicable to contractors.
Qualifications:
Relevant degree in a related discipline with a minimum of two (2) years of industry experience, or a minimum of ten (10) years of professional experience in a field related to the course subject matter.
Prior teaching or instructional experience in a post-secondary or professional training environment is preferred.
Ability to collaborate professionally with academic and administrative stakeholders as required to deliver contracted services.
Excellent organizational skills, communications skills- oral and written and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure.
Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
