Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Network & Security Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, securing, and maintaining an organization’s network infrastructure. You will ensure high availability, performance, and protection of network systems in alignment with cybersecurity standards (such as NCA ECC/CCC controls). You will work closely with IT, cybersecurity, and operations teams to support business continuity and secure digital transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Network:

• Design, configure, and maintain LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, and SD‑WAN environments.
• Manage routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and network appliances.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot latency, outages, and connectivity issues.
• Implement QoS, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP), and VLAN segmentation.
• Maintain IP addressing schemes, DNS, DHCP, and network documentation.

Security Operations:

• Configure and manage firewalls (NGFW), IPS/IDS, WAF, and security gateways.
• Implement and maintain network security policies, access controls, and segmentation.
• Monitor security events and respond to incidents in coordination with SOC teams.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and support remediation activities.
• Ensure compliance with NCA, ISO 27001, and organizational security standards.

Infrastructure Projects:

• Participate in network upgrades, migrations, and new site deployments.
• Support cloud networking (Azure/AWS) and hybrid connectivity.
• Evaluate new technologies and recommend improvements.

Operational Support:

• Provide L2 support for network and security incidents.
• Maintain backup configurations and disaster recovery readiness.
• Prepare technical reports, diagrams, and change management documentation.

Daily Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Monitor network and security dashboards for alerts.
• Respond to incidents, troubleshoot outages, and restore services.
• Review firewall logs and security events.
• Apply minor configuration changes (ACLs, VLANs, VPN users).
• Support users and IT teams with connectivity issues.
• Patch network/security devices.
• Review and update network diagrams and documentation.
• Conduct vulnerability scans and follow up on remediation.
• Participate in change management meetings.
• Implement new network designs or expansions.
• Optimize network performance and security posture.
• Conduct DR tests and backup configuration reviews.
• Prepare compliance reports for management (NCA, ISO, internal audits).

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or related field.
• 3–7 years of experience in network and security engineering.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle critical incidents.
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving mindset.
• Team collaboration with SOC, IT, and management.

Strong knowledge of:

• Firewalls & security appliances
• Network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, Zabbix)
• VPN, SSL, IPsec, and Zero Trust concepts
• Cloud networking (Azure/AWS)
• NCA cybersecurity controls (preferred)

Preferred Certifications:

• Cisco: CCNA (required), CCNP Enterprise, CCNP Security
• Fortinet: NSE 4 (highly preferred), NSE 5/6/7 (advantage)
• Palo Alto: PCNSA / PCNSE
