The Network Security Engineer in Shanghai provides hands-on engineering support for Palo Alto firewalls, network segmentation, secure web gateways, and VPN services across APAC sites. This role ensures the secure operation of regional firewalls and contributes to global consistency in network security configurations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Regional Firewall Operations

• Deploy and maintain Palo Alto firewalls supporting manufacturing, development, and office networks.
• Implement rule changes, NAT updates, and policy tuning based on global standards.
• Conduct diagnostics, packet captures, security log reviews, and root cause analysis.

Lab & Manufacturing Segmentation

• Maintain segmentation between engineering labs, fab-related environments, test networks, and corporate connectivity.
• Validate segmentation controls against global policy requirements.

Regional Proxy & Secure Web Gateway Support

• Support on-premise and cloud proxy policies for Shanghai and APAC users.
• Implement category updates, URL filtering changes, and SSL decryption configurations.
• Resolve user and application proxy access issues.

Global Protect & Remote Access Operations

• Support secure remote access for APAC employees and contractors.
• Troubleshoot authentication, access, and routing issues across hybrid AD environments.

Operational Support

• Execute approved change requests for regional firewall, segmentation, VPN, and proxy systems.
• Support network security incidents in collaboration with global teams.
• Maintain local runbooks, device inventories, and change logs.

Required Qualifications

• Strong experience with Palo Alto firewalls and Panorama.
• Familiarity with manufacturing or lab network environments preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex routing, segmentation, and proxy issues.
• Experience with authentication (RADIUS, AD, SAML) and VPN platforms.
• English proficiency for global collaboration is strongly preferred.
