Network Engineer senior (T-IPC) - REF4308P

Further development of L2 and L3 VPN production models on routers and virtual routers as well as the required engineering tools. Integration support of these production models for network-related production systems. Participation in complex projects.

Specific Tasks:

• Integration of configuration specifications into the “Modular Configuration System”
• Responsibility for the “Modular Configuration System” configurations and ensuring all cross-service tasks
• Participation in the development team for Netconf/Yang@Modular Configuration System
• Participation in engineering for “Multi Service vSPE”
• Proactive architectural discussions with internal and external stakeholders
• Integration support in IT systems
• LAB support
• Adapting solutions to multi-cloud environments
• Participation in engineering for large-scale network consolidations

Skill Requirements

You hold a degree (Bachelor of Arts/Science in Computer Science or similar) or have completed a subject-related vocational training and have several years of professional experience.

You stand out due to detailed company-specific knowledge or specialized expertise and skills:

• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure, cloud computing (AWS, Equinix, Azure)
• Detailed configuration knowledge in the areas of Routing & QoS, ideally at CCIE / JNCIE level
• Product knowledge of the DT Backbone is desirable
• Advanced skills in data analysis and visualization
• Strong understanding of hardware and software
• Expert knowledge in implementation and rollout
• Excellent knowledge of information technologies, IP technologies, and protocols
• Several years of experience with a solution-oriented mindset and work approach
• English (B2 level) in spoken and written form is required; German at B1 level would be a bonus.
