Cepeda Systems and Software Analysis, a rapidly growing small company in Huntsville, AL, is currently seeking a Network & Computer Systems Administrator to support integration and experimentation activities within a Joint System Integration Lab (JSIL) environment by performing system administration, software development, lab integration, and secure network support. Works independently on moderately complex tasks, contributing directly to lab modernization, digital engineering, and model-based simulation efforts in support of AvMC programs.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience
Typical Duties:
Support hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) and software-in-the-loop (SWIL) integration activities
Configure and maintain Windows and Linux servers, virtual machines, and lab workstations supporting test and experimentation
Develop and maintain C#-based tools, utilities, and scripts supporting lab automation, data processing, or simulation workflows
Modify and integrate existing software components to support UAS interfaces, data flows, and system interoperability
Use Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, and Agile workflows to manage source control, builds, and tasking
Support lab network configuration, including segmented networks, VLANs, and isolated test environments
Troubleshoot connectivity, performance, and interoperability issues between lab systems, simulators, and external interfaces
Coordinate with network and cybersecurity teams to support lab availability and modernization
Apply and validate security hardening measures (e.g., STIGs, baseline configurations) for lab systems and servers
Support vulnerability remediation, patching cycles, and compliance documentation
Assist with cybersecurity assessments and audits related to JSIL operations
Support model-based systems engineering (MBSE) and simulation environments used for UAS analysis and experimentation
Assist with data integration between models, simulations, and live/virtual/constructive (LVC) assets
Help maintain configuration alignment between models, software baselines, and lab systems
Execute configuration management (CM) practices for software, documentation, and lab baselines
Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and integration procedures
Participate in change control, technical reviews, and lab readiness activities
Required Experience / Skills:
3-6 year’s experience providing systems administration and/or software development support in lab, test, or operational environments
Proficiency in C# development and scripting in support of system integration and automation
Experience with Windows and Linux systems, virtualization, and lab infrastructure
Familiarity with Agile development practices, source control, and DevOps toolchains
Experience supporting simulation, integration, or digital engineering environments is desired
Must be a US Citizen
REQUIRED CLEARANCE:
Must have or be able to obtain a SECRET security clearance.
