Job Description:
Job Title: Administrator
Department: Information Technology
FLSA: Exempt
General Function:
An administrator, working independently to provide ongoing support and management of elements of the technical infrastructure. Monitors performance, implements changes, performs backups, maintains documentation, and applies new patches and versions when required. Investigates and troubleshoots issues with diverse scope.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
• Monitors infrastructure performance, troubleshoots more complex issues and deploys solutions.
• Implements basic infrastructure monitors and alerts.
• Reacts to infrastructure alarms triggered by monitoring tools.
• Performs routine infrastructure updates and maintenance tasks.
• Performs routine provisioning of infrastructure and devices.
• Provide second level troubleshooting support and assistance to NOC and Support Services.
• Interacts with end-users in order to troubleshoot infrastructure related issues.
• May raise tickets with 3rd party vendors.
• May contribute to root cause analysis.
• May create and maintain a disaster recovery, security and backup and restore plan.
• May assist with evaluating new technologies to optimize network efficiency and performance.
• May be responsible for tracking the parts inventory and maintenance of knowledge base documentation.
• Reports to work when scheduled and works expected number of hours. Participates in off-hours on-call rotation.

Education and Experience:
A bachelor degree is preferred, or relevant experience.

Physical Requirements:
• Visual requirements include: ability to see detail at near range with or without correction.
• Must be physically able to perform sedentary work: operating a computer, occasionally lifting or carrying objects of no more than 10 pounds, and occasionally standing or walking.
• Must be able to perform the following physical activities: meeting with customers, kneeling, reaching, handling, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
Working Conditions:
The duties for this position are performed in a general or remote office setting. There is weekly pressure to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks in a day.
Equipment Used to Perform Job:
Laptop and desktop computer, telephone, copier, Fax, printer, PC with Microsoft Office programs and other software relevant to specific position.
