NetSuite Solutions Architect

One of Pine's Portfolio compannies, The Vested Group is seeking an experienced Financial Solutions Architect with a strong background in Finance and deep expertise in Oracle NetSuite ERP. This role is responsible for leading the design and delivery of scalable, maintainable NetSuite solutions that align with client business objectives.

The ideal candidate combines functional accounting knowledge with strong NetSuite financials expertise and consulting experience. This individual will serve as a trusted advisor to clients, guiding solution design, identifying system gaps, and recommending effective configurations, customizations, and integrations—without requiring hands-on development.

Primary focus areas include Record-to-Report (R2R), Procure-to-Pay (P2P), and Order-to-Cash (O2C) processes, spanning General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Accounts Receivable, Cash Management, Accounts Payable, Purchasing, Order Management, Project Costing, Project Billing and Inventory Management features within NetSuite.

Key Responsibilites:
• Partner with clients to understand business objectives, requirements, and success criteria, translating them into well-architected NetSuite solutions

• Lead functional solution design, ensuring alignment with accounting best practices and system capabilities

• Advise clients on optimizing financial processes using standard NetSuite functionality while identifying gaps and recommending appropriate customizations or integrations

• Facilitate design workshops, requirements gathering sessions, and solution walkthroughs with stakeholders at all levels

• Develop clear and comprehensive functional design documentation and solution roadmaps

• Collaborate with technical teams and third-party vendors to deliver integrated solutions across systems

• Evaluate solution alternatives through proof-of-concept exercises and provide recommendations with associated effort estimates

• Ensure solution quality through active participation in testing strategy, including test planning, scenario development, and validation of system configurations

• Serve as a subject matter expert in NetSuite financials, staying current with new features, releases, and best practices

• Mentor and guide junior consultants, fostering both functional and consulting skill development

• Contribute to internal practice development, including methodologies, tools, and go-to-market strategies

• Effectively communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, including executive stakeholders

Qualifications:
NetSuite Expertise:

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on NetSuite experience in implementation and/or support roles

• Strong functional knowledge of NetSuite Financials and core ERP processes

• Experience designing solutions involving configurations, workflows, reporting, and integrations

• Understanding of SuiteScript and SuiteFlow capabilities sufficient to collaborate with technical teams (hands-on development not required)

Accounting & Finance Background:

• Minimum 5 years of professional accounting or finance experience

• CPA or equivalent certification preferred

• Strong understanding of financial reporting, close processes, and internal controls

• Consulting & Leadership Skills:

• Minimum 5 years of business consulting experience

• Proven ability to lead client engagements, facilitate workshops, and drive decision-making

• Experience mentoring team members and contributing to team growth

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills

Communication & Delivery:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to present and influence stakeholders at all organizational levels

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, client-facing environment

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to follow-through

Preferred/Nice to Have:
• Experience with implementation and/or usage of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) tools/applications to support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

Additional Requirements::
