A direct Minneapolis, MN client is looking for a TWS Administrator. Request to fill the TWS Administrator role due to the reassignment of the current resource tasked with business critical batch processing setup, configuration, and monitoring on the enterprise workload scheduling tool, TWS.
This position will start 4/6/2015 and is anticipated to end 10/6/2015.
Specific Deliverables of this engagement include the following:
• Ability to meet with customers, gather business requirements, turning them into technical requirements, develop customer presentations and training materials.
• Ability to provide basic project management and coordination skills to meet customer’s project schedules.
• Experience working with TDWS, TDWC, Job Scheduling Console to support business lines including but not limited to creating and monitoring distributed agents, calendar and schedule creation, forecasting, filter set up, and library maintenance in a 24 x 7 production environment.
• Experience working with, monitoring, and management of mainframe scheduling using TWS, TSO, JCL, RACF security, and Linux to enable the execution of automated batch scheduling tasks in a 24x7 production environment.
• Experience working with secure file transfer technologies
• Ability to use and understand job control language, Windows CMD and Linux/Unix in a TWS environment
• Troubleshooting job failures, taking the appropriate corrective action
• Incident management through the use of SCSM.
• Monthly team activity recap reporting to management
• Metrics capture for planning and forecasting purposes.
• Make suggestions for continuous improvement to the environment, SOP, and business processes
