SGS are seeking motivated NDT Assistants / NDT Technicians to support a major industrial shutdown happening in May. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in the Non‑Destructive Testing (NDT) field while working alongside experienced NDT Technicians and Inspectors.
You will help our NDT Team with shutdown inspection activities, including:
 
• Preparing equipment and work areas
• Assisting with NDT processes (MP, PT, UT, and PAUT)
• Maintaining safe work practices on-site
• Supporting data collection and reporting
Ideal for Candidates Who Are:
• Looking to enter the NDT industry
• Interested in gaining exposure to industrial maintenance environments
• Keen to learn from experienced professionals
If you have the below qualities, we are interested to hear from you:
• Available for work in May
• General site safety awareness
• Previous industrial/shutdown experience is an advantage, not essential
• Able to use basic power tools for example angle grinder
• The right to work in New Zealand
• Ability to pass pre-employment checks
• Able to work well with others in a team environment
• Any NDT qualifications or experience would be a bonus
