Required Skills
Job Description
At Quantum Systems, we develop cutting-edge unmanned aerial systems that redefine what autonomous flight can achieve. Our mission is to deliver highly reliable, mission-ready UAV solutions for governmental and professional applications worldwide. To further strengthen the performance and resilience of our platforms, we are looking for a passionate and experienced Navigation Engineer (m/f/d) who is eager to push the boundaries of GNSS/INS-based navigation in complex and challenging environments.
In this role, you will take ownership of advanced navigation algorithms that are at the heart of our autonomous systems. From concept to flight testing and operational support, you will play a key role in shaping robust state estimation and sensor fusion solutions that ensure precision, safety, and reliability. If you are driven by technical excellence, thrive in multidisciplinary teams, and are motivated to question existing approaches to unlock the next level of navigation performance, we would love to hear from you.
What is your Day to Day Mission:
• Conceptualize, design, implement, and validate GNSS / INS navigation algorithms: state
estimation, sensor fusion, and fault handling in line with project requirements
• Analyze real flight data to diagnose complex issues, drive root-cause analysis and
implement robust algorithmic and software improvements
• Refactor and generalize existing navigation modules to further improve our robustness in
challenging environments
• Participate across the full system development lifecycle: concept, design, prototyping,
flight testing, and operations support
• Lead technical discussions and contribute to architecture decisions, design reviews,
interface definitions and system documentation
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams including flight control and embedded
software engineers, systems engineers and test engineers
• Improve navigation performance through sensor characterization and calibration
• Drive technical decisions within the navigation domain and support code reviews and
mentoring as needed
