The Opportunity
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a National Sales Manager to join our ANZ Sales team on a full-time permanent basis. The National Sales Manager leads the New Zealand consumer-health and prescription sales team to achieve national revenue, sales, and profit targets by directing sales force activities, coordinating sales objectives, managing budgets, and collaborating across functions to drive business goals.
Key accountabilities include:
1. Achievement of the Company’s Sales Plan
Lead the sales team to meet short and long-term business goals.
Set and communicate national sales objectives, targets, and quotas.
Prepare sales budgets, reports, and forecasts.
Monitor and review team and individual performance.
Work with Marketing, Commercial Management, Supply Chain, Finance, and Customer Service to achieve results.
Conduct territory mapping and allocate resources effectively.
Build strong relationships with key customers, suppliers, and industry groups.
Analyse sales and customer data (CRM, scan), synthesize insights and develop go-to-market plans.
Recognise and reward team achievements.
Ensure compliance with laws and ethical standards.
Manage in-store promotions
Organise and attend Trade Shows and customer conferences, develop calendar for the year.
2. Effective Communication
Ensure timely and effective communication with internal and external key stakeholders, including sales teams, cross functional team members, customers and suppliers.
3. People Management
Spend at least 60% of your time coaching and co-calling with Territory Managers in the field.
Develop and coach the Virtual Sales Representative.
Promote team engagement and a positive culture.
Cascade strategic and operational plans to field team and translate into clear individual and team KPIs.
Develop SMART goals with employees and ensure regular monitoring and timely completion.
Conduct quarterly formal performance reviews.
Provide timely and specific feedback that supports employee development.
Address performance issues promptly and fairly.
Lead by example in professionalism and conduct.
Ensure effective onboarding of new team members and ongoing skills refresh for all team members.
About You
To be successful in this role you will possess Sales management experience in healthcare (OTC and prescription), including having led a field sales team within New Zealand.
Tertiary qualification in Business or related field.
Experience managing national pharmacy accounts.
Strong data analysis and commercial skills.
