Job Description
The Routing Manager is responsible for coaching, mentoring, and developing a team of Route Engineers to ensure smooth execution throughout all phases of re-route projects. This role protects and upholds service guidelines and standards, working closely with field teams to promote understanding of and adherence to service expectations. The Routing Manager leads process improvements, operational routines, and optimization initiatives to deliver more efficient and effective routing strategies. The position also requires strong communication and collaboration with the Director of Routing, field leadership, IT, Finance, and Operations.
MANAGING EXPECTATIONS
Coach, develop, and lead the Route Engineering team to support continuous growth and maintain high performance.
Define, refine, and optimize routing processes and workflows to enhance efficiency, consistency, and scalability across all markets.
Coordinate project activities in collaboration with the Director of Routing and the National Productivity Engineer to ensure alignment and effective communication throughout RBDC.
Partner with Sales leadership (including Directors, Sales & Distribution, and General Sales Managers) to prioritize routing
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Regularly uses hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, reach with hands and arms, and communicate effectively through speaking and hearing.
Frequently walks and sits.
Occasionally stands, stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls.
Able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds as needed.
Must have close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
May be exposed to moving mechanical parts and various outdoor weather conditions.
Works in an environment that typically has moderate noise levels.
A bachelor’s degree, or 5–7 years of relevant industry experience
A minimum of 2 years of management experience in the beverage industry or in a similar inventory, warehouse, or operations environment
Working knowledge of data warehousing systems
Proven leadership skills, including experience mentoring, training, and providing corrective feedback
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to develop presentation materials and present effectively in both individual and group settings
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
This position is open to U.S. citizens, U.S. permanent residents, or individuals who are currently authorized to work in the United States on a valid visa.
The base salary for this position is $115,000 + cash incentives. Actual salary offers may vary based on work experience. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified.
