The 2026-27 faculty grid for this position is $75,461 to $116,035 based on years of experience and a Bachelor of Education. Faculty with a Master's will be paid at a higher range.

Students in Grades 6-10 engage in the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (MYP), while most continue into the IB Diploma Programme (DP) in Grades 11 and 12. Around 30% pursue an Enriched Pathway, blending DP courses with other dynamic learning opportunities. Across all grades, learning is elevated through the arts, athletics, outdoor education, service, leadership, and more.

We are seeking an experienced and passionate educator to teach MYP Design (Grades 6–10) and lead the development of our LEAP elective programme. This is a unique opportunity to shape innovative learning experiences while working in a vibrant, future-focused school community.
What You’ll Do
Teach engaging and innovative MYP Design classes that inspire creativity and problem-solving
Lead and grow the LEAP elective programme, expanding opportunities for student exploration
Create a classroom culture grounded in respect, care, and meaningful relationships
Design authentic, hands-on learning experiences that drive deep engagement
Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners
Integrate technology and design thinking into your teaching practice
Assess student learning through meaningful formative and summative strategies
Maintain clear, accurate records and communicate progress effectively
Contribute to co-curricular life, including clubs, athletics, or outdoor education

Qualifications
Legal entitlement to work in Canada (or willingness to obtain required permissions with school support)
Minimum 5+ years of successful experience teaching Design at the middle and/or senior school level
Bachelor’s degree (minimum requirement)
Strong knowledge of International Baccalaureate programmes (MYP experience preferred)
BC teacher certification (or ability to obtain)
Valid First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Training and experience in safely operating Design Technology equipment

The final salary offer will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications and relevant experience in accordance with BC labour laws and company policies.
