Job Description

This role is for one of the Weekday's clients

Salary range: Rs 700000 - Rs 800000 (ie INR 7 - 8 LPA)

Min Experience: 3 years

Location: Bengaluru

JobType: full-time

The MYP Basketball Coach will enhance students’ abilities, encourage teamwork, and foster sportsmanship through well-structured training sessions and inquiry-based physical education that aligns with the IB philosophy.

Requirements:
Key Responsibilities:

• Design and lead basketball coaching sessions for MYP students
• Create game strategies, drills, and fitness programs
• Organize and coach school teams for inter-school tournaments
• Encourage teamwork, discipline, and good sportsmanship
• Ensure student safety and proper handling of sports equipment
• Incorporate IB ATL skills and support holistic development through sports
• Monitor student progress and offer constructive feedback
• Work collaboratively with the PE department and school administration

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education or Sports Science (preferred)
• Basketball coaching certification (preferred)
• 3–5+ years of experience coaching or teaching in school settings
• Experience working with middle school students
• Excellent communication and team leadership skills

Preferred:

• Experience in IB/MYP educational environments
• Participation or representation at district, state, or national competitive levels
