We are seeking a passionate and experienced Mathematics Teacher to deliver high-quality instruction across the Middle Years Programme (MYP) and International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP). The ideal candidate will have a strong command of mathematical concepts, the ability to engage diverse learners, and a commitment to fostering critical thinking, inquiry-based learning, and academic excellence.
Requirements:
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and deliver engaging Mathematics lessons aligned with MYP and IBDP curriculum frameworks.
• Teach a range of mathematical topics including algebra, calculus, statistics, geometry, and functions, adapting content to varying student abilities.
• Prepare students for IBDP assessments, including Internal Assessments (IA) and final examinations, ensuring strong conceptual understanding and application skills.
• Design and implement lesson plans that promote inquiry, problem-solving, and real-world application of mathematics.
• Assess, monitor, and report on student progress using a variety of formative and summative assessment strategies.
• Provide constructive feedback to support student growth and achievement.
• Integrate technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance learning outcomes.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary connections and contribute to curriculum planning.
• Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports student well-being and encourages participation.
• Engage with parents and guardians to communicate student progress and address academic concerns.
Required Skills & Competencies:
• Strong expertise in Mathematics, including advanced topics relevant to IBDP (SL & HL levels).
• Deep understanding of MYP and IBDP curriculum frameworks, assessment criteria, and pedagogy.
• Ability to simplify complex mathematical concepts for diverse learners.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in using educational technology tools and digital platforms for teaching and assessment.
• Strong classroom management and student engagement skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Experience in guiding students through IBDP Internal Assessments and exam preparation.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated with IB standards.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics or a related field.
• Teaching certification or qualification (B.Ed. or equivalent preferred).
• IB training or certification (preferred but not mandatory).
Experience:
• Minimum 3 years of teaching experience in Mathematics.
• Experience teaching MYP and/or IBDP curriculum is highly desirable.
• Candidates with extensive experience (up to 20 years) and proven academic results are encouraged to apply.
