Job Description

MULTIMEDIA INTERN

In this hands-on, creative multimedia internship, you’ll partner closely with Minitab’s Employee Brand Experience Manager to help bring our culture, people, and employee stories to life.
You’ll design and produce engaging content for Minitab’s SharePoint intranet—our digital home for employees—while collaborating with teams across the company to create employee-driven stories that support internal communications, employer branding, and recruiting efforts. This role is perfect for someone who loves storytelling, design, and creating meaningful experiences—not just content for content’s sake.

You’ll gain real-world experience working across text, graphics, digital animation, video, photography, and audio—learning how these elements come together to create compelling multimedia experiences for a real audience, with meaningful impact.
Beyond creation, you’ll help shape the experience. You’ll support research and trend analysis, assist with user experience surveys, and monitor engagement and site analytics to understand what resonates and why. You’ll also build hands-on skills using Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft SharePoint and PowerPoint, gaining exposure to the tools used by modern communications and brand teams.

Each week, you’ll collaborate in team meetings, brainstorm new ideas, and contribute to employee engagement initiatives. By the end of the internship, you won’t just have portfolio pieces—you’ll understand how employer branding, digital experience, and culture storytelling intersect to shape how people experience work.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Coordinate and produce photo and video content for Minitab’s SharePoint intranet, social media, and recruiting efforts—including employee interviews, events, virtual tours, team and employee photography.
• Support day-to-day intranet content updates and company news announcements, ensuring information is timely, engaging, and employee-focused.
• Capture and organize b-roll footage and collaborate with design and communications partners across departments to support storytelling initiatives.
• Research internal communications trends and emerging SharePoint features to help inform content ideas and experience improvements.
• Follow company policies and procedures while adhering to data protection and information security requirements.
• Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion while supporting and strengthening Minitab’s culture.
• Contribute to additional projects and initiatives that support employee engagement and brand experience.

EXPERIENCE
• Demonstrated experience in photography and videography; a portfolio or work samples will be requested
• Ability to write and edit clear, engaging copy for digital platforms, including intranet news posts.
• Strong foundational photo, video, and audio recording and editing skills, with experience using tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar software.
• Working knowledge of graphic design principles and creative tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, or comparable software.
• A creative eye with strong attention to detail and visual presentation.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
• Sound judgment and the ability to make thoughtful decisions, knowing when to ask questions or seek feedback.
• Comfortable collaborating with others and participating in video calls and virtual meetings.

EDUCATION
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in a creative field such as multimedia design, graphic design, film, digital media, or a related brand or content-focused discipline

MUST be available to work onsite at our Minitab Corporate Headquarters in State College, PA.

Remote work is not an option for this position.
