MSSQL Server Database Administrator

Position Overview:
We are looking for an SQL Server DBAs, responsible of installing, configuring, securing, monitoring and maintaining database systems, with focus on database systems design and ongoing support for all databases in the different technologies. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. This position requires someone who is flexible, adaptable, and able to take on new tasks and responsibilities quickly.

Job Responsibilities::
• Diagnose and resolve database-related issues promptly, including performance problems, data corruption, and system outages.
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery strategies, ensuring data protection and minimal downtime in case of a failure.
• Work closely with other IT teams, developers, and stakeholders to ensure database requirements are met for various applications and projects.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation on database configurations, procedures, and performance metrics, and generate regular reports for stakeholders.
• Set up, configure, and deploy SQL Server RDBMS systems on-premise or in the Cloud.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including backups, updates, and patches to ensure the database remains stable and secure.
• Proven experience in a similar role.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Adaptability and flexibility to changing circumstances and priorities.
• Proficiency in relevant systems and technologies.

Basic Qualifications::
• 5+ years of relevant experience
• 4+ years on database technologies like Oracle, MSSQL and Postgres are desirable skills.
• Support the different database technologies.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and application support teams to ensure the availability, security and consistent performance of various corporate applications.
• Knowledge on other technologies like Python programming are nice-to-have skills.
• Experience working on Cloud (Azure).
• Perform tasks and complete projects as assigned by the manager or supervisor.
• Communicate effectively with internal partners and other departments as needed.
• Meet project deadlines and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
