WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
MRI Technologist (Full-time)
Location: On-site Arlington Heights
Days/Hours: Monday- Friday , 2:00 pm - 10:00 pm
WHAT A TYPICAL DAY LOOKS LIKE:
Maintains current knowledge of MR technology and assists in quality control of equipment
Responsible for patient safety, including pre-screening for implants and researching any necessary clearance
Sterilize and maintain equipment, maintains cleanliness or rooms and keeps adequate stock of supplies on hand
Administration of aseptic injection technique for contrast
Address patient concerns during procedure, and explain MRI procedure using tact, courtesy and poise to reduce anxiety to obtain patient cooperation
Carefully position patients in order to obtain correct imaging
Document radiological services by accurately recording data in the patient's chart
Ensures quality standards are met and promotes continuous quality improvement
Provide education, training and direction to new technologists
According to department standards and protocols set by radiologist, perform all job related functions as a MRI Technologist, including all imaging procedures in a timely and efficient manner, and communicate related information to appropriate physician
Perform all other duties as assigned
Frequent lifting/carrying of objects weighing up to 50 lbs. without assistance
Must be able to stand, stoop, lift and walk without restrictions

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS:
Graduate of an accredited MRI certification program
ARRT/ARMRIT registered
Previous experience in diagnostic radiology/imaging setting
Proficiency running advanced MR studies independently
CPR- BLS Certification
