What You’ll Do
As a Mowing Crew Leader, you’ll be responsible for managing a small team to complete scheduled mowing services efficiently, safely, and with high quality standards. You’ll lead morning setup, route execution, and end-of-day reporting, while ensuring your crew follows best practices for turf care, equipment use, and property protection. You’ll train and support team members, adjust to weather or site conditions, and serve as the primary point of contact for field-level decisions and customer interactions. Your leadership helps set the tone for crew performance and client satisfaction.
What You Bring
Leadership on the go – You’ve successfully led crews in the field, keeping work moving while teaching and supporting less experienced team members.
Mowing mastery – You can operate and troubleshoot all common commercial mowing equipment and know how to adjust your approach for turf type, weather, and site conditions.
Route ownership – You take responsibility for getting the job done right and on time, and you communicate clearly when adjustments are needed.
Customer awareness – You know how to represent the company on site and handle basic client questions or concerns with professionalism.
Reliability and follow-through – You show up ready, manage your crew well, and make sure the work gets done correctly every time.
A valid driver’s license – Required for this position
Compensation and Benefits
Starting Pay: Based on experience, typically $24-$27/hr to start.
Hours: This is a full-time, seasonal role, with snow removal work occurring during the off-season. Typical hours are Monday–Friday, 7:00am–5:00pm, with some flexibility.
