We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled MongoDB Database Engineer to join our growing technology team. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in MongoDB Administration, Query Optimization, Indexing, Replica Sets, Sharding, Performance Tuning, and Production Support for large-scale enterprise systems. This role is best suited for professionals who thrive in high-performance environments and enjoy solving complex database and scalability challenges.

As part of our engineering team, you will work on mission-critical systems that process high volumes of operational and transactional data across distributed environments. You will play a key role in ensuring database reliability, scalability, availability, and performance across production systems.

Requirements:
Key Responsibilities

• Manage, monitor, and maintain MongoDB databases across development, staging, and production environments.
• Design and implement scalable MongoDB architectures using Replica Sets and Sharding.
• Perform advanced Query Optimization and Indexing to improve application performance and database efficiency.
• Analyze slow queries, optimize execution plans, and recommend schema improvements.
• Configure and manage MongoDB clusters for high availability and disaster recovery.
• Handle Production Support activities including troubleshooting, incident resolution, root cause analysis, and performance bottlenecks.
• Monitor database health, storage utilization, replication lag, and system performance metrics.
• Implement backup, recovery, and security best practices for MongoDB deployments.
• Collaborate with application developers, DevOps teams, and solution architects to ensure optimal database design and integration.
• Develop automation scripts and tools for monitoring, deployment, and maintenance tasks.
• Support database migration, upgrades, patching, and capacity planning activities.
• Ensure data integrity, scalability, and operational stability in large-scale production environments.

Required Skills

Must-Have Skills

• Strong expertise in MongoDB Administration
• Hands-on experience in Query Optimization and Performance Tuning
• Deep understanding of Indexing strategies and execution plans
• Experience managing large-scale production databases
• Strong troubleshooting and Production Support capabilities
• Knowledge of backup and recovery processes
• Experience with Linux-based environments and database monitoring tools

Good-to-Have Skills

• MongoDB Aggregation Pipeline
• Sharding implementation and cluster management
• Replica Set configuration and maintenance
• Automation scripting using Shell, Python, or Bash
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Understanding of DevOps and CI/CD practices

• Experience: 6 – 22 years
• Proven experience working with high-volume, enterprise-grade MongoDB environments
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and manage critical production issues
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Experience in warehousing, logistics, industrial automation, or enterprise platforms will be an added advantage
