Position Summary

In support of the Mission, Vision and Values of SyBridge Technologies Group of Companies, the Mold Maker (Toolmaker) is responsible for all aspects of the mold building process. Reporting to the Manufacturing Supervisor, the Toolmaker ensures the team meets or exceeds all goals and objectives required from this department.

Key Responsibilities:

Build/fabricate mold components

Fit and assemble molds with use of overhead cranes, repair molds

Perform work-in-progress measuring or checking using specialized and precision tools and equipment

Make all appropriate personnel aware of any potential tooling problems, issues, or questions

Maintain a clean workspace and organization of materials

Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs using provided paper and/or electronic logs

Read and interpret complex engineering drawings and work-process documentation

Build precision mold components using conventional and numerically controlled metal-cutting machines and equipment including saws, drills, grinders, lathes, mills, and EDMs

Use the forklift to transport molds / mold components throughout the shop

At all times, adhere to customer standards on all tool designs and the internal lean manufacturing guidelines

Responsible for maintaining safe operations by keeping work area clean and organized and by adhering to safety procedures and regulations

Participate in required meetings and training, as requested

Qualifications:

Certification or College Degree, or High School diploma and Equivalent Experience in Mold Manufacturing environment

Eight (8) years of related experience building, leading and assembly of high cavitation, multi-action molds

Ability to perform under pressure and work independently

Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines as required

Ability to ensure quality standards are met

Strong attention to detail is required

Strong leadership, interpersonal, communication and relationship building skills

Proficient in time management and communication skills
