In deze functie maak je deel uit van het IS/IT team van Thales Nederland. IS/IT is de kern van de digitale transformatie van Thales, wat zorgt voor een nauwe relatie tussen IS/IT en de business. Met een team van 150+ collega's bieden wij IS/IT-ondersteuning aan onze 2500 NL-collega’s in verschillende Business Lines en functies. De IS/IT-afdeling van Thales Nederland werkt nauw samen met de internationale IS/IT-afdelingen van de Thales groep.

Onze missie is: “Het bieden van veilige toegang tot Thales-informatie in één klik” met een cultuur van “Feeling Proud Together”.  Onze Agile-transformatieproces is enkele jaren geleden begonnen. Als lerende organisatie omarmen we de agile principes volledig en streven we naar uitmuntendheid door voortdurende verbetering. We zijn niet bang om te falen, zolang we er maar van kunnen leren.

Voor het Endpoint & Collaboration squad zijn we op zoek naar een Modern Workplace Engineer. Dit squad is verantwoordelijk voor een breed scala aan producten en diensten gerelateerd aan de digitale werkplek en samenwerking. Je nieuwe squad maakt ook deel uit van de Endpoint en Collaboration tribe van de hele Thales groep.

Over je toekomstige baan

Je werk als Modern Workplace Engineer in de Endpoint squad is gevarieerd. De dag begint met een korte standup, waarin we de lopende taken bespreken en hoe we deze op elkaar afstemmen. Zowel binnen de afdeling als het team werken we volgens de Agile manier van werken en het SCRUM framework. Gedurende de week concentreer je je op de sprint waar je samen met je team aan werkt. Als domeinexpert ben je in staat om bedrijfsbehoeften om te zetten in werkende oplossingen. Je hebt een rol in het implementeren en beheren van de Endpoint producten en zorgt ervoor dat de implementatie een succes wordt. Bij voorkeur heb je ervaring opgedaan in omgevingen waar security en standaardisatie ook erg belangrijk zijn. Je kunt oplossingen uitwerken en omzetten in releasable producten.

Je bent verantwoordelijk voor de ondersteuning en het beheer van producten zoals:

• Citrix Virtual Apps en Desktops;
• Citrix ADC (NetScaler);
• Ivanti Workspace Control;
• Windows 10/11;
• Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager;
• VMware Workspace One UEM.

• Ervaring heeft met Enterprise migratieprojecten.

With a team of 150+ colleagues we provide IS/IT support to our 2500 NL colleagues in several Business Lines and functions. The IS/IT department of Thales Netherlands works closely together with the international IS/IT departments of the Thales group.

For the Endpoint & Collaboration squad we are looking for a Modern Workplace Engineer. This squad is responsible for a broad variety of products and services related to the digital workplace and collaboration. Your new squad is also part of both the Endpoint and Collaboration tribe of the whole Thales group. Together they’re responsible for the Endpoint and Collaboration platforms within Thales. 

About the job

Your work as engineer in the Endpoint squad is varied. The day starts with a brief standup, where we discuss the ongoing tasks and how to align them with each other. Both within the department as well the team we work according to the Agile way of working and SCRUM framework. Throughout the week you focus on the sprint that you work on together with your squad. As a domain expert you are able to transform business needs into working solutions. You have a role in implementing and managing the Endpoint products and ensuring that the implementation becomes a success. Preferably you have gained experience in environments where security and standardization are also very important. You can work out solutions and transfer them into releasable products.

You are responsible for the support and management of products such as:

• Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops;
• Citrix ADC (NetScaler);
• Ivanti Workspace Control;
• Windows 10/11;
• Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager;
• VMware Workspace One UEM.

About you 
We are looking for a colleague who:

• Is able to quickly master new domains and techniques;
• Has strong communication skills;
• Has experience with the Agile way of working and SCRUM framework or is open-minded to adopt new ways of working;
• Has a strong will to continue to develop him or herself, both on a personal and technical level;
• Business level English and Dutch.

Furthermore, it is preferable that the new colleague has:

• Relevant working experience, however: young professionals can also apply!
• Experience working in a complex enterprise IT environment;
• Experience with Enterprise migration projects.
