About the role
We’re looking for a hands-on Mobility Equipment & Repairs Specialist to help clients stay safe and independent at home and in care settings. In this role, you’ll deliver, set up, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair mobility and home health equipment—both in the field and in the shop—while providing clear, respectful service to clients and caregivers.
What you’ll do
Deliver, install, and pick up mobility and home health equipment at client homes and facilities.
Assemble and adjust equipment for proper fit and safe use (walkers, wheelchairs, scooters, lift chairs, hospital beds, ramps, and related accessories).
Troubleshoot and complete repairs and preventative maintenance in the shop and on-site.
Inspect and test equipment to ensure it meets safety and quality standards before delivery and after service.
Explain basic operation and safety guidance to clients and caregivers in a calm, professional manner.
Document service work, parts used, and recommendations; communicate clearly with the team on timelines and next steps.
Maintain a clean, organized work area and service vehicle; follow safe driving and workplace safety practices.
What you bring
Experience in a hands-on service role (field service, appliance repair, small engine, bicycle/mobility repair, warehouse/service, delivery & installation, or similar).
Comfort using hand and power tools; ability to troubleshoot mechanical and basic electrical issues.
Strong customer service skills and professionalism in client homes and care facilities.
Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record (role involves local travel).
Ability to lift and move equipment with safe techniques (team lifts/assist devices used as appropriate).
Comfort using a phone/tablet for work orders, photos, and basic documentation.
We encourage everybody to apply even if they don’t meet all the qualifications. MHHC values diverse backgrounds and perspectives.
