Mobilisation Technician

Join Ashtead Technology as a Mobilisation Technician, supporting efficient mobilisation and demobilisation of hire equipment, ensuring it is prepared, tested, documented, compliant and ready for operational use. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure operational alignment and service excellence.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Monitor, maintain and ensure readiness of tools and equipment.

Testing and spooling of hydraulic and electrical winches.

Testing and setting of diesel and electrical power packs (including zoned and safe area equipment).

Lead and carry out Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), both independently and alongside clients.

Perform pre-delivery and demobilisation inspections, and support general mechanical servicing and maintenance.

Complete FAT documentation accurately and on time, ensuring all equipment records are up to date and compliant.

Maintain competency records and ensure all documentation meets required standards.

What experience you'll bring:

Time served Mechanical Technician or equivalent experience in a similar role  

Practical, hands on skills with tools and machinery, including diesel engines and mechanical equipment.

Self motivation with ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines as part of a team and individually.

Knowledge of hydraulic systems beneficial.

Previous experience working with winches, wire rope spooling and hydraulic power units beneficial.
