Job Description:
Instabooks is looking for a Mobile UI/UX Designer to join our passionate team. As a Mobile UI/UX Designer you’ll be responsible for working directly with the product team to craft delightful intuitive user experiences and design beautiful UI. Responsibilities in this role will span the entire development life-cycle, from wire-frame and concept creation to final asset production and implementation. This position offers an exciting opportunity to design and deliver flawless user experiences to millions of Australian small businesses.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the Product team to design user-friendly UI assets and implement intuitive UX for users.
Design from concept to completion of all facets of the User Interface
Create, maintain and own UI style guides and general art documentation
– Ensure accuracy and consistency of UI Integration into the app

Optimise UI for best performance on mobile devices
Identify, estimate, schedule, and track UI/UX tasks
Participate in sprint and road-map planning
Required Skills:

In-depth understanding of users (mobile small businesses)
2+ years of experience in Mobile UI/UX design
Proficient in Sketch, InVision, Zeplin and Adobe CS ( Adobe XD, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign,…)
Ability to work cross-functionally with the Product team to define and prototype the best UX
Ability to translate flowcharts and wireframes into usable and visually polished UI
A strong understanding of UI conventions and challenges for mobile devices
Ability to optimise UI for best performance and optimal footprint on mobile devices
Experience creating dashboards
Assisted at least 1 shipped mobile app as UI/UX designer
Experience with UI/UX task breakdowns, estimates, sprint planning
Apply strategic design thinking to real world problems.
An eye for usability, minimalism and simplicity.
Experience with lean startup culture and what it takes (ups and downs)
