About the Role

You’ll be one of the first engineers defining the mobile experience for our future‑shaping AI agents.

Your work will directly shape how millions interact with their AI companion, ensuring smooth user journeys from UI components through API layers and real-time data flows.

Expect to:

• Think from zero. Sketch flows in the morning, code prototype by afternoon, and demo by evening.

• Own the mobile stack. Architect and implement cross‑platform mobile apps (iOS/Android) using React Native and Swift, delivering polished, native‑feel experiences.

• Ship agentic UX. Stream real-time model output with resilient Generative UIs.

• Architect for blazing speeds. Robust LLM caching/syncs, background AI tasks

• Own releases. Ship fast with best industry standards for CI/CD, OTA updates, testing

Key Responsibilities

• Build world-class apps. Architect cross-platform iOS/Android in React Native with native-feel performance.

• Integrate agent features. Add contextual understanding, proactive suggestions, and natural language interactions via real-time APIs/on-device modules.

• Own supporting services. Design secure, scalable endpoints (Node.js/Python), data models, and sync pipelines (offline-first, background jobs, push).

• Raise reliability. Instrument telemetry, tracing, and feature flags; drive root-cause fixes for crashes and flakiness.

• Design for accessibility. Inclusive UI, haptics/motion principles, and platform conventions that feel native.

• Ship with confidence. E2E release flow: CI/CD, OTA, staged rollouts, analytics, and experimentation.

• Collaborate tightly. Work with design, backend, and research to turn complex behavior into simple, delightful flows.

You Bring

• 3+ years building production mobile apps with React Native (Expo or bare) and TypeScript.

• Shipped apps to App Store and Play Store; comfortable with EAS/CI/CD and OTA updates.

• Offline-first system design: robust caching/sync, background tasks, conflict resolution, push.

• API integration: REST/GraphQL, auth, secure storage, third-party SDKs.

• AI on mobile: integrate LLM SDKs (OpenAI, Vercel AI, LangChain) and build resilient streaming UX.

• Bonus: Native modules or platform code (Swift/Kotlin/Obj-C/Java); 1M+ MAU scale; motion/animation polish.

• Thrive in a fast, in-person SF team; crisp communication and high ownership.
