Job Description

Our Fintech Client is looking for a proactive Junior Full-Stack Developer (Backend-Focused) to join their engineering team.
This role is ideal for someone who has hands-on experience working in a startup or product-based software/platform company, and who is comfortable operating in a fast-moving, less-structured environment.

What You’ll Work On
• Backend services, APIs, and scoring logic (~80%)
• Data transformation and basic data pipelines (~5–10%)
• Mobile app maintenance and packaging (Flutter / React Native) (~10–20%)
• Develop functional prototypes to demonstrate core company technology.
• Build backend scoring features and data transformation pipelines.
• Design and implement data pipelines to convert raw device data into actionable indicators and scores.
• Prioritize development that is cloud-agnostic and easily deployable on-premises.
• Maintain and enhance our existing infrastructure hosted on AWS and GCP.
• Contribute to the development of a cross-platform, cloud-agnostic architecture.
• Build a self-onboarding portal and manage API gateway integrations.

Requirements:
• Core Requirements (Must Have)
o Minimum 2 years of programming experience in one or more of the following: JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python.
o Experience with databases including PostgreSQL, Redis, and NoSQL technologies.
o Familiarity with modern frontend frameworks, especially React (Angular, Vue, or Ember are also acceptable).
o Basic knowledge of AWS services and deployment practices.
o Strong foundation in object-oriented programming, design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
o High level of ownership, accountability, and commitment to delivering quality work on time.
o Quick learner with an open and collaborative mindset.
o Hands-on experience working in a startup, scale-up, or product-based software / platform company
o Comfortable working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with evolving requirements
o Intermediate to advanced proficiency in spoken English.

• Plus / Nice-to-Have Skills
o Experience with backend frameworks such as: NestJS, ExpressJS, FastAPI, or Django
o Exposure to containerization (e.g. Docker)
o Experience in mobile application development for both iOS and Android (Flutter, React Native)
o Exposure to data engineering work (ETL, data pipelines, analytics support)
o Familiarity with Kotlin, Swift, or mobile SDKs
