JOB HIGHLIGHT
AB Facility Services (ABFS) is seeking a hardworking and reliable HVAC Helper to support our mobile engineering and HVAC team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in the facilities maintenance and HVAC industry while working alongside experienced technicians in the field.
As an HVAC Helper, you will assist with preventive maintenance, equipment repairs, installations, and general building maintenance tasks across multiple commercial properties. You will travel with senior technicians to various job sites and help ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and professionally.
This position is ideal for someone who is mechanically inclined, eager to learn, and enjoys working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment with opportunities for advancement.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist HVAC Technicians with maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of commercial HVAC systems
Support installation of HVAC equipment, parts, and components
Help maintain tools, equipment, and service vehicles
Perform basic preventive maintenance tasks and filter changes
Assist with general building maintenance duties as needed
Maintain clean and safe work areas at all job sites
Respond to service calls and assist with emergency repairs when necessary
Complete work orders and communicate updates to supervisors and team members
Follow all company safety procedures and industry standards
Qualifications:
Education:
High School Diploma or GED preferred
Experience:
Previous experience in HVAC, construction, maintenance, or a related trade is preferred but not required
Trade school students or entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply
Licenses/Certifications:
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record preferred
Skills:
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand tools
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good communication and time management skills
Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various indoor and outdoor environments

Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Position Type: Full-Time
Salary: $25/hr DOE
