Mobile App Developer

We’re looking for a Mobile App Developer who can confidently work across multiple stacks — React Native, Swift, Kotlin, Flutter, and Ionic — and manage the entire app lifecycle from development to store deployment.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain mobile applications across iOS and Android platforms.
• Build apps using React Native, Swift, Kotlin, Flutter, or Ionic, depending on project needs.
• Integrate third-party APIs, SDKs, and native features (maps, camera, geolocation, push notifications, Bluetooth, etc.).
• Collaborate with backend engineers and designers to ensure seamless performance and data flow.
• Handle end-to-end app lifecycle management — from setup, builds, and testing to submission and updates in the App Store and Google Play.
• Implement authentication (AWS Cognito, Firebase, OAuth) and CI/CD workflows (EAS, Fastlane, or GitHub Actions).
• Optimize app performance, reliability, and user experience across devices.
• Document processes, reusable components, and deployment standards for team scalability.

Requirements:
• 3+ years of experience developing and deploying mobile apps.
• Proficiency in at least two of the following frameworks: React Native, Flutter, Ionic, Swift, Kotlin.
• Strong understanding of mobile build processes, provisioning, and certificate management.
• Experience integrating third-party APIs and SDKs (e.g., Stripe, Twilio, Google Maps, Firebase).
• Knowledge of JavaScript / TypeScript, Dart, Swift, and/or Kotlin.
• Familiarity with Xcode, Android Studio, Expo EAS, and Capacitor.
• Comfort working with RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
• Solid version control skills with Git/GitHub.

Bonus Skills

• Experience with AI/LLM integrations, Twilio, Stripe, Google APIs, or Mapbox.
• Backend familiarity (Laravel, Node.js, or Rails).
• Experience in public safety, logistics, or nonprofit tech.
• CI/CD and automated testing pipelines.
• UI implementation using Figma or XD.

Minimum Technical and Work Environment Requirements:

• Internet Connection:
• Primary internet connection with a minimum speed of 15 Mbps.
• Backup internet connection with at least 10 Mbps.
• Backup connection must be capable of supporting work during a power outage.

• Primary Device:
• Desktop or laptop equipped with at least:
• Intel Core i5 (8th generation or newer), Intel Core i3 (10th generation or newer), AMD Ryzen 5, or an equivalent processor.
• A minimum of 8 GB RAM.

• Backup Device:
• Must meet or exceed the performance of an Intel Core i3 processor.
• Must be functional during power interruptions.

• A functioning webcam.
• A noise-canceling USB headset.
• A quiet, dedicated home office space.
